09/29/25

The jump box J ordered arrived, so he came home at lunch to jump the car. We got it over to the nearest Auto Zone and had a new battery installed with a warranty. Thankfully, the car is up and running again, knock on wood that nothing else happens!!!

CL installed the new OEM fuel pump we ordered from Auto Zone and we went out for pizza and ice cream after. He gave the car a jump to make sure the fuel pump was working, but unfortunately, it turned out that the battery was also bad. We would find this out on 09/28 when we tried to leave for the day and the car wouldn't start, womp womp.

It was MW's 14th birthday! She invited us to her birthday dinner at Chili's, so we took an Uber to make it happen. I brought my Instax camera and got some awesome shots of our family.

Happy birthday to me! We went over to my parents house for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. (I picked somewhere that Dad would actually come along with us to!) My parents gifted me a Keurig machine that makes hot or iced coffee, some K-cups, the perfume I had been wanting ("eilish" by Billie Eilish"), and a pair of Fabuletics leggings. J always likes for me to have something to open, so he got me a large Lego version of C1-10P, better known as Chopper. We have been watching Star Wars: Rebels together and I just love that feisty droid! It'll be fun to build together, my most ambitious project yet.

The bad news of the day? My car wouldn't start. We ordered an aftermarket fuel pump back in January when its original part went bad and now it went bad. We learned a lesson to never go cheap on car parts, sigh. CL and JL picked us up from the apartment and took us back home when we were all celebrated out.

The day before my 37th birthday. J and I spent it together doing fun things. I got my left helix pierced, made a decoden phone case, and we tried a new-to-us K-BBQ spot. Since it was a K-BBQ and Hot Pot joint, there was no banchan, which is one of my favourite parts of the experience. They had mediocre sushi instead? Kind of disappointing but the day itself was great!

Every year, we pick up some of these little bird figures that Target sells. These are the first of the apartment birds!

Brought Dunkin over to my parent's house. They recently got a bathroom renovation; Dad installed the flooring, vanity, and mirrors and they hired a crew to do the tub/shower. It looks great.

My birthday Sephora order arrived! I always order a little treat so I can get the birthday gift. This year it was a Lawless lip gloss because they did a collab with LoveShackFancy and it was all sorts of cute. Because of my eczema, I don't wear a lot of make up, but I do like a little bit of a lippie.

Loaded up my Kindle with books and gave it a mini face lift in the way of a new pink case and cardstock.

Went to a pickle-themed event with my family. They tried some off-the-wall things, like a pickle margarita and pickled cherry dr. pepper. Me and J stuck to things that didn't taste awful, like fried pickles, lol. I liked the pickle mac and cheese egg rolls, J did not.
